Introduction to class and response to video

Introduction

Hi all. My name is Precious Roberts. I'm 22years of age and Im a double major in dance and psychology. I came across this course during our Dance Composition Class last semester. Our final was base on dance and film relations, and we ended up premiering our videos at digicalworlds, in our exact class room. Professor Pat had spoke about this course during that time, and it was highly recommended by professor Frosch, so I was eager to join. I've always wanted to learn more about the "behind the scenes" work. I'm going to admit that this course is going to be very challenging for me, but I'm ready to learn something new

Response to Video

This first thing that caught my attention was the word "Hell." The I believe it was intentional on the artist behave to set such an intense tone, one can't help but go in perceiving the video with certain notions in mind. The second thing was the tranquilizing music. It was weird. It almost places you in a mood of easy but with all the busyness going on, you can't help but be a sceptic to what's going on. It started and ended with an array of colors, one sence moving to the next at an rapid past. The camera angle was at a close up and was moving so fast that it was really hard to even tell what you was looking at. The music then suddenly started to fade, till it was complte gone for a few seconds. Then there was four bangs of a drum and the music started once again.

The word "Hell" reappeared, but this time the camera was futher zoomed out, so one got a better perpective on what was going on. during this time I almost felt like I was watchng someone go through  film(pictures) because the clips was moving at a much slower speed and there was this "snapshot" sound every time the clip changes. as the video got closer to the end, the clips seem a tiny bit more define. I felt like I was seeing actual people and places, but it was somehow distarded with all the abtract painting. I felt there was actual people, oceans and deserts I was looking at. I ended being a tab bit confused. I was expecting something a tab bit on the scary side, thinking about how the Hell word kept appearing, but it wasn't at all .It was beautiful, and I wanted to see more. I wanted to see what was living behind the colors of the wind. It was pretty darn cool! I just wish I could understand more of what was going on, or what it was about. If it was about anything at all, or if it was even made to be understood?
